Owner Bear Foot Yoga, LLC, C-IAYT, RYT 500, HTCP
Megan is a passionate yoga teacher and energy therapist with an infectious personality. She was introduced to yoga more than 20 years ago in Boulder, CO to manage panic attacks. Learning the psychological causes and physical attributes of stress at a young age taught her the importance of befriending the mind. Her lifestyle is a reflection of the empowering belief that our awareness is precious; the earlier in life we discover this, the happier and healthier we can be.
Megan is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapy. She is blessed with Nischala Joy Devi’s spiritual guidance and completed Nischala’s Yoga of the Heart cardiac and cancer training, Healing Through the Chakras, and Healing Relationships. She received her 500 RYT from Inner Peace Yoga Therapy. Her breath centered classes blend physical alignment, yoga therapy and pranic body awareness with a lighthearted approach. Whether she is instructing a physically challenging flow class, offering Yoga Nidra, or creating a personalized therapeutic home practice, Megan makes yoga accessible to everyone. The practice of yoga changes and grows according to our age, allotted time and our physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs. If you are a beginner or a seasoned yoga practitioner, Megan’s gift is the ability to meet you on your terms and encourage you to find your meaning of yoga.
Wanting to deepen her knowledge of the subtle body and its relationship to yoga, Megan studied energy medicine with the Healing Touch Program for 2 1/2 years and is a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP). In addition to energy therapy, she offers Ayurvedic Marma Therapy and is a certified practitioner through the California College of Ayurveda. She also trained with Healing Touch for Animals and offers energy therapy to our beloved pets!
Megan is grateful for the the uniqueness, authenticity and inspiration that her students and clients bring to BFY. As the studio owner, she is motivated to provide a nurturing space for friendship and growth and bring lifestyle wellness to our community.
“I don’t do yoga to live longer. I do yoga so I can love more while I live” – Megan
